Frontierville Trees- Costs, Rewards, Collections explained
77In FarmVile, there is no need to get too involved with trees if you don't want to. They look gorgeous, of course, but they yield less than crops so some people just ignore them.
In FrontierVille, trees are essential. Growing fruit trees is a part of some quests. Wood from lumber trees is one of the most important resources and necessary for many building projects including fencing.
Trees also give rewards in terms of XP and food and they are a worthwhile part of the FrontierVille economy. The tables below let you see just what you get for your investment at the market.
Fruit Tree Quests
in the 'Prepare the Harvest' Quest you need tor to purchase 1 Fruit Tree.
In the 'Make an Orchard' Quest you need to plant 2 Fruit Trees and own 6 Fruit Trees
Looking After Trees
Fruit trees need watering to reach maturity and so start delivering food and XP when you tend them. If you click on the young trees, they will tell you when they next need watering.
Lumber trees need no watering.
Seedlings and small saplings are movable. Older trees are not. You can use the move tool from the menu with the arrow icon, bottom right of the game screen.

Lumber
Wood is easy to find in the early stages of the game. Trees grow wild and you just cut them down when you need wood. Visiting neighbors also lets you cut wood without using energy. As the game goes on, wild trees become scarcer and you might want to grow your own lumber.
Of course, making sure you always have neighbors in the early stage of developing their homestead should mean that free wood is always available from that avenue.
Trees will also grow on their own in the game. Remember to make sure any saplings grow in the right place for your homestead.
If you chop a tree at the sapling stage it leaves no stump. Older trees leave stumps that need to be cleared, costing one energy.
