Best Wii Multi-player Game? Mario just keeps on delivering...

The first thing to say: this is the list of the best Wii Multiplayer Games ever. It's not meant to be the best Wii games for Christmas. Or just the best new games...

It's a personal choice and the decisions are final! Having said that, these were all bestsellers on release and still sell very, very well.

If you are veteran Wii Multi-player game fan, you will recognize many of the titles. I hope there are a few that you don't recognize, though. If you reckon I missed a truly great game, drop a comment into the box at the foot of the page.

Another thing to say is that all these games are suitable for single players but multi-play makes them very special.

Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel
Amazon Price: $39.68
List Price: $49.99
Mario Kart
Amazon Price: $34.94
Mario Kart Racing Wheel for Wii (2pcs Bundle)
Amazon Price: $5.63
List Price: $0.00

Mario Kart

Who said Mario should be in a home for seniors? The little guy gets stronger every year.

This is the number one favorite of anyone who loves racing against friends or family. Whether you use the classic controls or the Wii Mario Kart wheel (around $15) it is fun for everyone. The game looks great and has enough play to keep you satisfied for a very, very long time.

Boom Blox Bash Party
Amazon Price: $19.70
List Price: $19.99

Bloxx

Plenty of adults play this game without needing the excuse of having kids to entertain. Young kids go crazy for it!

The latest in the Bloxx series is the Boom Bloxx Bash Party. It adds new levels (400!) and many new characters to the already phenomenally successful Boom Bloxx.

If you think the game is a spectacular block buster-as so many people do- you shold thank Stephen Spielberg who had a big hand in creating it.

You can create or remix your own special levels and it is amazing what people have done- like recreating classic arcade games from the nineties!

Super Mario Galaxy Wii
Amazon Price: $39.99

Super Mario Bros Galaxy

This is a state of the art action/puzzle/strategy game that is easy to pick up but increrasingly challenging to play as you go through the levels. One of the good things is that there is always a choice as to what board you play and you can avoid boards you find tough and go back later.

The controls can be picked up intuitively without any massive learning effort and are fun to use. Oh and it's Mario again! One thing you might ask is where his accent comes from. It can't be Planet Earth....

There area lot of worlds to negotiate here before you get to rescue the Princess.

Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection
Amazon Price: $9.00
List Price: $19.99

Pinball

The game makers seem to have got everything right here. They chose a range of the best, classic William's tables. No two games are ever quite the same, The graphics are stunning. It sounds right (this is important!). Best of all it works for Wii controllers so that you feel you in charge of the whole wonderful experience- even if you don't always win!

This might not seem an obvious multi-player game but it is fun for two as you compete to be top flipper and kids love to play in pairs.

As close to real pinball as any video game will ever be

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Amazon Price: $45.88
List Price: $49.99

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I warned you that there was a lot of Mario in this list. He is joined by a stellar cast here though, including Sonic, Pit from Kid Icarus, Wario and Diddy Kong. There is a lot of fighting so if you are feeling fragile or in need of a cuddle this one should be tucked out of sight. If you are feeling up for a great roaring brawl of fun though, you can't do much better.

There are plenty of adventures and there is the 'melee mode' where more or less anything goes.

Still the best fight game on Wii!

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Amazon Price: $12.33
List Price: $19.99
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Amazon Price: $12.45
List Price: $19.99

Rayman Raving Rabbids

The Rabbids are irresistible, the backgrounds are atmospheric (sometimes hilariously real) the games are fun and any three year old will thank you from the bottom of their heart for this game. The great thing for the grown ups is it just as much fun for them too and everyone can play along.

If you looking for the full Rabbid dance experience you are probably better going with the first game. If you are more of a shooter, the second game has some fantastic sequences.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Amazon Price: $14.33
List Price: $19.99

Lego Star Wars Complete

This includes all the game play from previous Lego Star Wars games plus a few new twists of its own. The video below has a great review.
